So we’re having a baby, cool. The fact hadn’t seemed to hit me until lately.

This past weekend we were at Siobhan’s parent’s cabin at Peter Stride’s Lake enjoying some time away from home, putting around on Ski-Doo’s, and having a few brews (me, not Siobhan!). On Friday evening siobhan tells me that she had to undo the button on her pants because they were too tight. Yup, she’s growing a belly… kind of made it official to me! Wow! I guess the next big thing will be her ultrasound on Friday… that’ll tell us some more about her pregnancy and hopefully give us a better estimate of her due date. Ultrasound pictures will likely follow!

Ok, so now GMail is offering infinite storage space to it’s users. Can they do anything better with their time.

I’m sure everyone will enjoy this.

I wonder when the Google folks will start offering a free Operating System?

(April Fool’s maybe… naaahhh)

They have a couple Honda RidgeLines in Gander right now. We’re going in on Saturday and I’m going to have a good long hard look at the beast. Then we’re going to take her for a ride. They have a Green one and a Black EX-L with a moonroof…. hmmm…

One issue I have right now is that my SnowBear plow doesn’t have a mount kit available for the RidgeLine yet. Not a huge deal as there is a mount kit for my CR-V.

I’ll be sure to post my thoughts as soon as we get her out on the road.

Hey all,

I’ve had a few questions about that gadget on my site a couple of days ago. A few people have figured it out on their own and a few other have needed help with it. Well, that “gadget” is actually Siobhan’s pregnancy test. Looks like we are going to have a little one this coming October or November. We have seen the doctor and nurse and are ready to start learning about this and to start spending money!

Since we have many months to go I am willing to accept name suggestions. We already have some thoughts but nothing even near determined yet. I’ll leave the comments section of this post open for as long as I can bear to keep clearing out the spam that gets posted here. Anything welcome!

There have been three deaths in our little community over the past couple of days. First Clem Joe Sr. died on Saturday evening. John Benoit (known to many as John Birch) died on Sunday morning.

Now a third person, who had gone missing yesterday morning in a snowstorm, was found floating in the tickle this morning. He had been given a floater suit for Christmas. It did its job. Unfortunately, the time that he had spent in the water proved to be too much. So now our community of 750 people has to say goodbye to a third member who was only in his mid-thirties — Billy John.

Our thoughts and best wishes go out to everybody who is hurting.

This morning we received a phone call letting us know that our good friend John Benoit had only another couple hours to live. Within an hour and a half we received another phone call.

Goodbye Uncle John. We’re all going to miss you!

We finally did it. Today we left work and went to St. Alban’s for supper… taking the shortcut across the ice! 5:09 – leaving work, 5:15 – pulling into the restaurant! Nice. From there we went to Morrisville and then back to Conne.

I also forgot to mention that my rink worked out nicely on Saturday. Pretty much all of my family showed up and we had a blast skating in the backyard. After we were finished skating we had a barbeque and then lit a fire on the hill to toast some marshmallows and roast some hot dogs. The kids enjoyed some more skating and playing around while my halogen work light lit up the rink and the backyard.

Unfortunately my first time on skates in 13 years or so proved to be somewhat painful. I’m almost recovered though and me and Sio will probably be hitting the ice again this weekend!
