Or we might have our binoculars back by now.
We sent in our Bausch and Lomb binoculars to Bushnell on February 11th of this year by ExpressPost. According to CanadaPost Bushnell received the binoculars on Feb. 14th. The binoculars weren’t entered into their system until Feb. 24th.
Their website states that the unit will be looked over and then I will be contacted and have 45 days to respond with my instructions and payment information (if it’s not covered under warranty).
So far, 3 months have passed since the binoculars have been sent away and I have not heard back from them once. I have called on numerous occasions and have been given the run around, everything from “it will take 4-6 weeks before we get to them” to “this is a busy time of the year as last years hunters are sending theirs in for repairs and this years birdwatchers are doing the same in preparation for the upcoming season”. Yesterday I called Bushnell and spoke to customer service instead of the repair department and they said they couldn’t help me as it was a repair issue and not a customer service issue. She then forwarded me to the repair department supervisor. I left a detailed description on his voicemail and have yet to hear back from him.
I had to post this to vent and to let others know what they might be getting themselves into if they are looking for repairs. I will add a future post when I get more information on my binoculars.
Rene 🙁
EDIT: Looks like the supervisor got in the game! The binoculars were repaired and we received them on May 26th, 2005. After only three and a half months!
