We had the second ultrasound done in Grand Falls-Windsor this past Friday and we now know why they wouldn’t let us see it the first time around. It looks like we won’t be having a baby anytime soon. The “sac” is the size of a 8 week, 4 day old embyro, but there is a lack of “fetal movement and fetal heartbeat”. We’re pretty upset over this turn of events but we are dealing with it pretty good. We have lots of support from our friends and family but we both have a pretty empty feeling lingering with us.
Siobhan is strong and not flipping out. Our past weekend was a good one even with the bad news we received on Friday. We spent the weekend away from home with Cory, Phoebe and their little guy, Brayden, in Clarenville. We explored the area, went browsing for a new camper (lots to choose from in Clarenville!), checked out motorcycles (again, a nice selection) for sale and hunted for a few geocaches.
Thanks to all the support everyone has given us. We truly appreciate it and can’t wait until we can announce fetus #2 in the near future! 🙂
